This is normal!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The memory is DDR (Double Data Rate) memory.  This means that the memory actually runs at a frequency of 266Mhz but it uses both the up and down cycles of each wave and so works twice as fast as the actual frequency.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Everything is OK and your new modules are working at an effective rate of 533Mhz.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;:smileygrin:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;EDIT: If you measure the actual speed of your old DDR2 400 modules, they will show as running at 200Mhz.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;:smileygrin:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi guys,  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Someone help,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a vaio VGN-A417M&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i have ugraded the memory up to 2 gig using corsair PC4300 533Mhz x 2 modules&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now according to the specs of the computer it run's at  533Mhz&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;as the FSB is 533.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However, now this is the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;they both only run at 266Mhz&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;whats going on.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is doing mi head in.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you have the solution, and really can help&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please email me at csducks@hotmail.com&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
