Sony Vaio Power management doesn'e work anymore

Hi All

The otherday my application Vaio Management stopped to work, I got an error message saying that an error had occured and the application was shut down. It hasen't worked since. Has anyone else here had the same problem?

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS495VP

Hi Jonas,

You will have to reinstall the Power Management Utility.

In explorer, navigate to C\Utils and double-click on Utils.exe to run it and reinstall all your Sony Utilities.

If this does not work, you will have to download the Preinstalled Utilities from Vaio-Link and reinstall

1 SonyUtils DLL
2 Sony Shared Library
3 VAIO Power Management

Once they are all installed reboot your Vaio..

You may have to do this several times..

Thanx for the advice, I have tried to reinstall everything and I have all the Vaio options now, but it's using the microsoft application for power management. I guess that will do.

Really great of you to take your time and help me. I really appreciated it!

Glad you've got it sorted Jonas.

If you want the Sony Power Management to work, you may find you have to reinstall the folders more than once!
