I have a FE21B notebook. My scroll touchpad ever run great but two days ago it doesn't run.

Why is the cause? is a hardware problem?

Hi snurps,

It's probably a driver problem.

Try this: -

1. Click Start, Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel dialog box, click Performance and Maintenance, System.
3. The System Properties dialog box appears, click the Hardware tab.
4. In the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
5. In the Device Manager locate Mice and other pointing devices category in the list and expand it.
6. Do you have Alps Pointing Device for Vaio? (or something similar)
7. Right-click on it and click on Uninstall.
8. Re-boot your Vaio to reinstall the drivers.

Check in Control Panel -> Mouse that the Scroll option is set.

If this doesn't work, come back. You may have to re-install the software.
