T1XP Locking up problems

Hi

I have just bought a second hand t1xp and i am having a few problems with it. When i first got it it would boot up. After I took it apart and put it back together again it booted up and I now have no problem booting.

I still get a problem where if I knock or move the laptop it locks up. I then have to turn it off to reboot it. Any ideas? I think it may be a hard drive problem, although I don't hear any strange noises.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

This sounds more like a dodgy connector, soldered joint, faulty or loose component than the hard disk.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know of any companies that may be able to fix this?

It is normally better if you do a google seach for a repairer in your area. See if you can find a no fix, no fee repairer.

The other alternative is Vaio-Link but they are usually the most expensive option.
