Hi there people,

I have a problem with my heatsinc I believe , it was making a noise for about a year & then finally I think it has packed in, the problem is that it is overheating , can anybody help me & tell me where I can get this part or who specialises in Vaio repairs....Please give me some urgent help......

Hi jonnybgud,

have you tried cleaning the cooling vents of dust with compressed air (you should be able to get this from your local PC shop), check the instructions on the can before using because if used incorrectly you could damage the fan..

I havent tried it personally, but I have had a proffessional look at it & I am assuming he has done that but still no joy....

You can get a relacement fan shipped from the US but it will cost $87 plus shipping.
