Is it normal for Sony Vaio FW's to have a little play in the DC IN port?

Well I've owned my Sony Vaio VGN-FW48E for 10 months now, I sent it in for repair about 4 months back to have the DC IN port made to feel more secure, it now even though its been sat on my desk has a little give and moves when pushed, I can push it right up to the LCD hinge.

Is this normal? it doesn't feel like it will break but it does have a little give in it, please advice.

I'm not sure to be honest..:smileyblush:

The best I can suggest is to either visit your local Sony VAIO retailer and see if their display model has similar movement.

Or if it worries you then contact VAIO support, at least then your concern will be logged..

My previous AW31M had a lot of play in the DC in it did get quite bad and eventually charging became a problem, I did call Sony but they wanted quite a lot of money to fix even though it was under warranty. Since I have a new model, the DC has a little play in it from new but not as bad as my previous model. So I guess its built in to take the odd knock.
