Memory Upgrade / Vaio RA304

Hi All Again ( sorry for my poor English... ),

Hope that some Vaio's Professional users can help me. Well, after installing vista on my RA304, I've decided to add 2 x 512MB memory to upgrade my PC 2GB.

I got 2 Corsair PC3200 DDR memory chip to complete my 2 Samsung 512 MB originally installed on my computer. But since this addition, I get a random freeze of my computer ( both keyboard and screen ) and I have no choice to cut the power to restart my PC.

I asked the vaio hotline to try to help me on that specific topic and the answer was to remove my Corsair memory ( oops, what an answer !! ).

A friend of mine told me to run MEMTEST to check my Corsair memory but the test did not failed.

Could someone explain me whath can be the problem ?

If you download Everest Home Edition and check that the RAM is identical in spec to your Samsung modules.

I think most models in the RA-Series support dual-channel memory.

Have you tried using the Corsair in slots 1 & 2 and the Samsung in slots 3 & 4 rather than the 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 configuration you have at present?
