Hi ailamar,

If booting to safe mode does not work then I would suspect a hardware problem, especially as you are unable to boot from a CD.

I suggest that you disconnect any hardware that you can and try booting. If this then results in the boot loop try removing one memory module (assuming that you have more than one) and try a boot with a single module in all possible permutations.

Hi all,

I've got a problem.

While using my VAIO, it rebooted and from that moment, anytime I try to boot it, I got the splash screen and then it reboots.

I tried to use a WinXP CD, but when I press the button to boot from CD, it reboots.

No way to use the recovery functionality from HD, because the OS does not start.

Can anyone help me?

Regards.
