Sony Walkman NW-A45 Genre and Album sorting

Can anyone help? Genre seems to arrange most things by songs rather than albums. Some songs you can click on and they take you to the complete album but in most cases you just get the song on its own; thus you have to make a note of the album name and then go back to find the album under the album "button". This is not the case for one album which I uploaded from the CD, the rest were from iTunes into the Sony Music Centre.

I don't want to to upload everything again from CD and it's strange that some albums do appear in their entirety under the genre tab. Do I have to change something in the Music Centre settings ?

I think what you described can be explained by the fact that the Walkman uses the track "details" to sort based on album, genre, artist, etc. So if the track details aren't in place, you won't get reliable sorting. Music that's ripped from a CD usually has the details filled in properly which is why that one CD works well with the sorting function.

Music Centre allows changing the details, but if your library is wide, it won't be practical to change the details for each file individually: https://musiccenter.sony.net/en/instruction/inst030.php
