slow motion - low quality

I had an xz1 and the slow camera(960 fps) is of good quality unlike xperia 1, the slow camera is of low quality and does not focus anything

Anyone else notice it?

Did you set it to 1080P?

The XZ1 can only film in 720p

I get fairly good results from 1080 slow-motion on the xperia 1

the thing about ANY slow motion video at 960FPS , I think it only uses a SMALLER portion of the sensor and thus you need LOTS of light!

Light is the key to 960 FPS.

Indeed especially the sensor size of main camera sensor in Xperia 1 is smaller than xz1.

But there is an option to select 1080p mode (slow motion lasts half of 720p mode) which is better quality.

I think the sensor size is actually the same, its the same as the xz premium.

1/1-26 if i remember correctly.

Sensor size is not the same.

Xperia 1 main sensor is 1/2.6" where

XZ1 / XZ Premium is 1/2.3".

Hence Xperia 1 sensor is smaller and its additional 2 sensors are even smaller (3 sensors are not the same size).
