text message notifications

I cannot get text message notification sounds without going into each message conversation individually and hanging the behaviours from either "make sound and pop up on screen, no sound etc.

the notification sound inn the settings only changes whats app, messenger, emails etc.

any help greatly appreciated!

You can set the notification sound for each app in most Smartphones, from Settings - Apps & Notifications - Apps info, choose Messages, then adjust using the sliders you'll find.
