I can't seem to get my phone to sync with dashboard

I followed instruction as given and am a little confused.

* Under setting -> Data Setting -> there is only general data setting & application setting.

* Under main screen, there is Sync ->but ask for account, server address, ...etc

Would like to have a clear info on where to go to be able to sync my phone.

Being able to sync your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with Google sync is a great way to have the same information between your Google account and your phone simultaneously.

Here, we show you how to set up your Google Sync account and how to use it.

From the Home screen, press the Menu key
Tap Settings & Data synchronisation & select Sync application & Google.
Tap Google sync
To turn on auto synchronisation, tap Auto synchronisation and mark the checkboxes for the Google services you want to synchronise automatically.
To sync manually, tap the Google service you want to synchronise.
To stop the synchronisation, press the Menu key and tap Cancel sync.
