Xperia Companion shows additional icons in Taskbar area

Since a couple of months, my Windows 10 system is showing multiple Xperia Companion icons in the Taskbar area.

For example :

The exact number of icons varies : it increases day by day.

Upgrading the Xperia Companion software to the latest versions does not resolve the issue.

The only workaround I have is to reboot the computer which decreases the number of icons down to 1.

Is there someone who either experiences the same thing or knows who to resolve it?

My hope is that someone from Sony actually reads this message and creates a bugreport on the software.

What happens when you uninstall all instances of Xperia Companion you can find on your computer, even if it is just one.

Then restart your computer and install Xperia Companion.
