Cant set Alarm tone in Sony Xperia M

Suddenly My Alarm tone got lost and I tried to set it again, I was able to select and hear the tone I selected when When I select it it shows Default Alarm (898).and I am not able to set my alarm tone.

after restart I tried Again and now even though I select my tne it automatically sets itself for Default tone (Xperia).

What might be the issue?I dont seem to understand.

Do you get a sound note where you can pick songs from internal memory?

Yes I do get sound note and I am alosable to highlight and play the tone I want.but when I select it as alarm tone all I get after selecting that tone is Default tone (Xperia).

Is the specific song on a SD card or internal memory?

Is your desired alarm tone one of the preloaded alarms tones, or is it any other song or tune of your choice?

Its tune of my choice,any preloaded tone I can set it without any issue.It is just the tune of my interest.

Where is this tune stored?internal memory or micro SD card?

Connect your phone to your computer.
There must an "Alarms" folder in the phone memory i.e the sdcard0.

If there is any other music in that folder remove it (make sure you make a backup somewhere) and copy the song of your choice to the same folder.

Now try setting your custom alarm tone again.

This might work.

I connected to PC and could not find folder named alarm but however thre were to new files which I did not recognized.

so I deleted it it had AVG file writen in its description after deleting that file I was successfully able to set my alarm tone.

I guess it happened because I connected my pen drive Via OTG and it must have virus in it.

i buy sony experia M.one year ago my mobile is now dead ill go to service center they are told me to mother bord is damaged.and the cost off replase it is 7000 thats not good deal too me.give me any sugestion what i do any kind of replacement it aviabale.over all exprene is good with experia m.
