Contacts picture problem

Hi i have an issue in my E1 . when i' m trying to add a photo in a contact i get the message unable to save changes in picture and i cant add it. i tried to transfer photos to phone from sd card nothing happent. i tried from safe mode nothing too. it refuses to add photos to contacts

Sorry to hear that you have issues adding pictures to your contacts.

Does this happen for all contacts or a specific contact? Do you know which account this contact is stored in (for example Google contact, phone contact, ActiveSync contact)?

When you open the contact that you want to add a picture to and then tap the edit icon you can see where it's stored below the name. If it says that it's a SIM contact, go back to the contacts list, tap menu (3 dots), Import contacts, SIM card and then import them to the phone memory or Google. Then try to add the picture to the phone/Google contact.

I recommend that you first make a backup from Contacts -> [menu] -> Export contacts -> Internal storage. Then go to Settings -> Apps -> All and clear data for both "Contacts" and "Contacts storage". Then restart the phone and go to Contacts -> [menu] -> Import contacts -> Internal storage. The phone should then ask which account to import them to. If you have a Google account i would recommend that you import them there. Then try to add a picture to a contact and see if it works.

Are you perhaps using another app to set the picture? Go to Settings -> Apps -> [menu] -> Reset app preferences.

When you then edit a contact and add a picture, select "Choose photo from album", select a picture (make sure to try one taken with the phones camera) -> Crop picture.
