Also check so that you haven't disabled any notifications under Settings -> Personalization -> Manage notificatios -> All. If InCallUI is disabled you will not be able to answer.

Can't answer calls

With "call forward" or "call barring" de-activated in the Call Setting, the phone rings but I can not answer the call. Have reset the phone twice, it works properly for a while but then goes back to ring without the possibility of answering. What could be the cause? Have tried same Sim card in another phone, and it works properly. So it is something to do with the phone.

That's weird. Try to boot on safe mode. And check if that still occurs.
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008
Thanks for answering. The reboot didn't work, but have discovered why....

I am using a Smart Band Talk Sony model SWR30, which is connected(via Blue Tooth) to my Z3 Dual. When a call come trough, both the Phone and Smart Band rings& vibrate, but only and only by answering via the "smart band"reply button, the tel call can be answered. Meaning that the screen of my Z3 Dual is activated only and only by my answering trough the Smart Band. Then, on the Z3 screen appears the choice of which of the 2 to use (phone or smart band ). Then I can choose, which one I prefer to continue to talk, that is via the phone or the smart band microphone ! Brilliant, but you need to know...there is a small language about this in the User Guide of the SWR 30, there is were I got it....

Have another one, which bothers me...
In the "Call setting" menu of the Z3 dual, there are 2 options for "call forward" or "call barring". If you activate either one, I encounter great problems to desactivate them again. When I tried to disactivate them, I get prompted to put in a 4 digit Pin Code. Have tried the Pin 1 and 2 of my SIM card but it doesn't work. The problem is that they never prompted, in the first place, to enter a Pin code when you activate either options. So I conclude that there must be a factory set Pin Code on the phone itself rather than one of the Sim Card. Have tried the usual 0000, 1234, etc standard factory setting to no avail. So I have to reset the Z3 to eliminate the call forwarding or call barring, which I had activated.
Any wise comments, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Best,Lucky 46

That is right. Very clever. INCallYImust be activated ! The the Z3 screen is also activated and allow the choice to answer via the Phone or the Smart Band.
Bravo, Ricksrd.

Glad to hear that it works now

Regarding your other question, the PIN the phone is asking for is the PIN2 for your SIM. However, not all operators allows you to change these settings from the phone. The settings you see in this menu are not really settings in the phone but settings in your subscription. When you change them the phone sends a command to your operator to change these settings in your subscription but as not all operators allows this you may need to contact your operator to have them changed.
