just noticed clouding at bottom of screen, anyone else had this? And I’d there a fix?

AFAIK you can do nothing to correct an issue with the backlight system like this

I agree with @rooobb

There's always the possibility this is caused by a power or software glitch so you can try the basic power cycle reset, restart, software update and factory restore.

But, in most cases it's either something that is considered within factory tolerance or a repairable issue, so I'd recommend you reach out to the Sony support reps after trying the basics.

Thanks for the responses, very disappointed, thought Sony built to higher standards, will bear in mind when I have to replace
