      <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchace a Sony Bravia 49" tv around 12 months ago.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Brightness &amp;amp; Contrast are on MAX &amp;amp; still the picture is dark. Is there anything i can do to correct the situation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks. Colin.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.sony.nl/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/963375373"&gt;@Colin-wood&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it’s an LCD set, try upping the backlight.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But if it is an OLED, it won’t have this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Other than that, make sure the picture is Vivid rather than Eco, and go through the settings for Picture, including the advanced ones, disabling anything that looks as if it might cut your brightness down.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Basically, if you maximise any setting that brings up an annoying pop-up to say you are wasting electrons, you are on the right track.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If still dark, disable any HDR, Dolby Vision, and so on that you might have.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
