I was thinking of upgrading my 7200rpm 500gb HDD to an SSD. (Something like Samsung 840 Pro 256GB)
What would be the easiest way about doing this? It's running on Windows 8.
Would it be to create recovery media and then install the os onto the SSD with this media?
If this was the case, would Windows 8 be optimised for the SSD once its installed? Can the BIOS run in AHCI?
I just want to make sure that by doing this, I would still be able to use the software which came with the laptop such as vaio care etc. ie: that it wouldn't just install a plain Windows 8 on the SSD without any vaio software
