Hi all,
I have upgraded to Win 8 on the above laptop - having run the upgrade assistant, it told me that there was an update available for all conflicts and I thought that initially it went pretty smoothly (I had not at that time, found the pages that describe which Vaio models are supported and therefore went forward with the installation)
I have found that there are a couple of major issues with the new OS, in that the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5470 Graphics Card is not supported (either by Sony or by AMD for this model), the Catalyst Control Center also does not work anymore - all of which means I cannot watch video (I have sound but black screen when video runs) - and presumably this is also causing the webcam to also not function. I darent try to play a game yet!
Everything I have tried has not worked so I wondered if anyone could offer some advice on this? I'm not the most computer literate person and I'd rather find a fix as I paid for win8, rather than having to roll back.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
