Vaio SVE1512W1ESl wont play discs!!!

Hi, i bought a new Vaio SVE1512W1ESl about three weeks ago, today i put a cd in it for the first time, but it wouldnt play, tried various other discs with the same outcome, i opened up Device Manager & noticed there was an exclamation mark on the drive icon, i opened it up & it says

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

any help will be much appreciated.
