SONY VAIO PCG GRT 785B Fan Noise problem

Hello,

I have a problem with my Vaio PCG-GRT785B FAN. FAN makes a such loud noise that even person can't sleep leaving the laptop running in the night.

Also Power pannel is getting very hot within 15 minutes on powering on the laptop. Power pannel is becoming such a hot that it is not at all possible to work by keep the lapto on thighs..

Is there any solution to rectify this problem?

Thanks,
Ramesh

These problems are mostly created by one of the following, or there is dust in your cooler, wich means it goes slower, cpu gets hotter and needs more cooling so the vent tries to go faster. Think of it as a car engine who wants to go faster but can't.

Second cause might be that your cooler isn't functioning properly (normally the first thing that should be replaced after some time).

The heating problem is simply because your case cooler can't do it's job properly

It is possibly more than just dust in you cooling vents. The GRT series, for some reason, builds up dust balls that not only prevent proper cooling but also prevent the fan from turning properly. In this event you need to open your notebook to remove them.
