PCG-TR1 Crashing

Hi all,
I have a PCG-TR1 which sometimes crashes and re-boots itself. When is crashes I get a blue screen with a whole screenfull of information, but its displayed only for about half a second! Too fast to read even a couple of words.

Any ideas on how I can retrieve the displayed crash information?

Thanks,
Steve

You can prevent the automatic reboot by going to Control Panel->System->Advanced tab and clicking on Settings under the Startup and Recovery heading. Then uncheck Automatically restart under System Failure heading.

The only time I've seen the blue screen of death with my TR1 was when I installed Intel's latest graphics drivers. I rolled back to the one's it came with and it's been fine since.

Hello,

I had the same problem with a PCG-GRV616G just the other day. After rebooting (several times), the notebook refused to open any XP window until closed again and left alone for some while. Any idea?

I would always check what's in the startup-catagory of Windows.
Go START>Run and type "msconfig -6" which will display all applications that are launched upon boot.

Deactivate everything that isn't clearly necesary and see if your system becomes more stable.
