DVD+-RW

Hi all, I have a Sony Vaio GRT 815M with optical DVD+-RW. I tried to write DVD+RW and DVD+R many times but my computer did not recognize the DVD. I had tried both Click to DVD, Drag&Drop, and by window but it still did not recognize.
Does any one have an idea?

Hi I've got a K115S and could not get on with any of the trial dvd disks I've bought to check the drive usng the sony software.
Even had problems with older burning software which I borrowed in the end I had to get a new version of nero before my dvd's and even cd-r's would work.
