Display driver stopped working on new Vaio in Photoshop CS4/5 and 6

Please help as I everyone keeps pointing me back to Sony.

I have had my Sony for just over 8 months and am becoming more and more frustrated with how whenever I am working on print resolution files in Photoshop CS6 (this issue occured with previous versions too) the fan becomes louder, the screen turns off and on and the message comes up that my Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered.

I contacted Adobe directly and was then informed to speak to Sony as their software was fine.  I even have Photoshop set to use my video card at a minimum and this still happens.  I have read other forums online and they are either a few years old or are from the states.

I always keep my system updated, and even with the Sony update software.

Can anyone help? :slight_frown:

Hi

I have same issue, after some time working in CS6 it goes black with the ...recovered... thingy aswell. After this happens i can not close down or access my CS6 files and must FORCE the program to close, then find recovery version when restarting program....

Extremely annoying and also a reason to go back to mac...  dunt know. but i feel tempted...
