2nd ram slot failure on PCG-616G

My machine was running 2X256Mb units, and after one year and 2 month(!), suddenly the second slot doesn't work anymore now i only have 256Mb wich is not enought for XP.
Any issue (at reasonnable price?)

I had 3 vaio before... no problemo!

I also have a TR2, it's a dream machine, you can buy it with the eyes closed!

La même mésaventure est en train de m'ariver sur un GRX416G. Pouvez-vous me dire quelle suite a donné Sony à la demande de réparrton? Y-a-t-il eu une prise en charge? Etc, etc.

Effectivement... Merci en tous cas. Peut-être notre autre ami Français pourrait-il nous dire ce que Sony France a décidé de faire pour lui (et éventuellement d'autres possesseurs de GRX)?
