Lenovo VAIO?

Naaah I dont think so.

In case you've heard the rumours, but not seen Sony's response:

"TOKYO, February 1, 2014 -- A press report on February 1, 2014 stated that Sony Corporation ("Sony") is discussing with Lenovo Group ("Lenovo") the possible establishment of a joint venture for the PC business. As Sony has announced previously, Sony continues to address various options for the PC business, but the press report on a possible PC business alliance between Sony and Lenovo is inaccurate."

(It would be like Sony selling the Walkman brand!)

Are you sure about that!

Judging by all the news reports it could still be Lenovo but it seems more likely that Sony will sell the Vaio business to JIP.

Although other companies may be looking at other areas at the moment in my opinion rather than dropping the PC business altogether I think Sony should be investing in this area even if they just concentrate on the high end premium range Vaio's, like the Z series which have always been cutting edge products.

The buzzards are swarming - meaning that other companies still think its a good buy (IF its up forsale)

Although, if I had the money, I'd buy one of these:
