Sony 50mm 1.2 Gm lens

I finally got the lens today.

Something is moving inside the lens when tilting it up and down... the camera is turned off. The aperture of the lens changes when tilted..

When the camera is turned on, everything works as it should...

Do others have this same problem? Is it normal?

What do you mean by "moving inside"? If you mean rattling or there are sounds, then it's not normal.

Hope this helps!

Adding to the above, could you upload a video to YouTube (as unlisted) so we can have a better idea of what you're describing?

This sound is heard when the lens is tilted up and down.

Sound is not heard when the camera is turned on. Then everything will work normally.

The sounds in this video cannot be heard from the lens. When the lens is tilted, the aperture appears to change slightly.

Is this in any way related to the breathing of the lens. I think it's normal?

I just want to be sure. Who would want a new lens that is defective. Thank you

I'm not sure I was able to hear the sound in the first video, but I think the 2nd video is not an issue at all.

Would you able to try the same lens from a colleague/friend or a nearby store for example? That'd be the best possible way to check (instead of waiting here, which can take long some times).
